There is a national chain that is going out of business. Many people have jewelry that was being repaired by outside contractors who are keeping the merchandise (shich does not belong to them) as collateral until they get paid by the jewelry store. YIKES!
If it were me...
•1 Keep a log and file of all my conversations with any representative. Document the time and the date and be very detailed.
•2 I would call an attorney and get a free consultation to see if there was a class action law suit that I could join.
•3 Call the customer service line. Most likely, you will not be talking to the company but an answering service the company has contracted with to take and forward calls which probably will not be answered. Just document the call and politely continue to call just in case there is a permanent file is being created.
• 4 Create a Google Alert using the company name as keywords to keep up to date on anything that hits the web regarding your rat bastard jewelry company.
•5 Call Clark Howard
• 6 Call the media
